24H Barcelona 2025 – Behind The Lens Of Our Motorsport Photography Workshop

Motorsport Photography Workshop

24H Barcelona Motorsport Photography Workshop 2026

Last week, we had the absolute privilege of hosting our 24H Barcelona Motorsport Photography Workshop 2025 at the legendary Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Four amazing clients joined us for what was nothing short of a bucket-list photography experience: shooting a full 24-hour endurance race weekend with official media accreditation.

And trust us, when you’re metres away from GT cars thundering past at full speed, media bib on your shoulders, pit lane open after dark, and the hum of endurance racing all around you – it’s nothing short of electric, as our clients found out.

Living the Media Pass Dream

There’s something surreal about walking through the gates of the circuit with full media credentials. It’s the golden ticket - a pass that gets you closer to the action than you ever imagined. With it, we were trackside, almost within touching distance of the cars, and later in the pits as mechanics and teams worked flat-out under the fluorescent glow of pit lane at 1am.

Our clients got the real experience of being a motorsport photographer: learning how to move safely around the track and pit lane, navigating the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (home to F1®), and discovering the dynamics of shooting at different corners and layouts. From high-speed corners to heavy braking zones, the variety of photo opportunities at this circuit is plentiful.

From Sunrise to Sunset (and Everything In Between)

Endurance racing is as much about time as it is about speed, and capturing that changing light across a full 24 hours is the magic of this event. Our clients shot everything from the fiery glow of brake discs after dark, to the eerie quiet moments of the pits at midnight, to sunrise creeping across the mountains.

This year’s sunrise wasn’t quite as dramatic as last year’s - but that’s the beauty (and challenge) of motorsport photography. You work with what nature gives you.

Coaching, Editing & Insider Knowledge

Throughout the workshop, our clients received hands-on photography training, guidance and coaching: exposure settings for fast-moving cars, creative angles, how to plan for a 24-hour race and the very real challenges of working with light at night. Between track sessions, they retreated to the media centre to edit images in the same space as pro motorsport journalists and photographers - the true beating heart of the race for the media.

They also had plenty of insightful (and fun) chats about the business of motorsport photography: how to work with clients and teams, what they look for, how to build relationships in the paddock, and the reality of carving out a career in this niche but exciting industry. All the insider knowledge shared over coffee, food and late night editing sessions.

Food, Hospitality &… Ice Cream

Of course, no 24-hour workshop would be complete without acknowledging the copious amounts of food in the hospitality that our clients had access to. From hearty meals to much-needed late-night snacks, the refuelling kept spirits high and yes, the ice cream made a very welcome appearance again.

The Buzz of Endurance Motorsport

For our clients, this was far more than just a photography workshop - it was a truly intensive opportunity to delve into the world of professional motorsport photography and 24-hour endurance racing. The buzz of GT cars under the night-sky, the adrenaline of pit stops, a small community of photographers swapping stories trackside, and the satisfaction of capturing those once-in-a-lifetime shots…that’s the experience we wanted to share.

Final Thoughts

The 24H Barcelona motorsport photography workshop was everything we hoped it would be - intense, inspiring and unforgettable. Our clients walked away with incredible portfolio worthy images, new skills, and the unique memory of experiencing one of Europe’s best endurance racing series from the inside.

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into the shoes of a motorsport photographer – this is it. Media bib on, plenty of camera batteries charged and the challenge of shooting a full 24 hours of racing ahead of you. Nothing compares.
