Trackside Focus®: The Photographers’ Paddock

An exclusive platform for photographers attending media-accredited Trackside Focus® workshops.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHERS’ PADDOCK

The Photographers’ Paddock is a curated space showcasing work created by photographers who attend Trackside Focus® media-accredited workshops. It exists to recognise the images produced in real motorsport environments and to reflect the professional learning process that happens trackside.

The work represents a range of experience levels, disciplines and approaches, unified by a shared focus, awareness and professionalism within a motorsport photography setting.

The Photographers’ Paddock is not a competition or ranking. It is a record of participation, progress, and output - highlighting how photographers who attend our media-accredited photography workshops can make real progress in motorsport photography. It also states our commitment to continuing the professional development beyond the physical workshops, designed especially for photographers who engage with the Trackside Focus® system, as outlined by our core mission: helping motorsport photographers turn passion into opportunity.

How To Be Featured

  • 1. Attend a Media-Accredited Workshop

Being featured in The Photographers’ Paddock is exclusive to photographers who attend a Trackside Focus® media-accredited workshop. This ensures that all contributors have experienced real trackside conditions, worked under official accreditation, and engaged with the hands-on learning environment that defines our workshops. Inclusion recognises both participation and the work produced during and beyond the workshop, highlighting each photographer’s skill, perspective, and development.

  • 2. Capture Images Trackside

All work featured in The Photographers’ Paddock includes images captured during Trackside Focus® workshops, as well as a selection of photographs from each photographer’s broader portfolio. Workshop images are shot with real media accreditation, in live motorsport conditions that reflect the pace, access, and responsibility of accredited trackside photography, while portfolio selections showcase each photographer’s personal style and experience beyond the workshop environment.

  • 3. Image Review and Selection

Following attendance on a media-accredited Trackside Focus® workshop, photographers submit a selection of images for consideration. Submissions are reviewed to ensure they accurately represent the environment and align with the purpose of the showcase.

  • 4. Inclusion in The Photographers' Paddock

Selected images are published within The Photographers’ Paddock with each photographer receiving their own dedicated portfolio page. Inclusion is intended as recognition of participation and output, rather than competition or endorsement.

Exclusive Member Benefits:

  • Each member is provided with a dedicated profile and portfolio page on The Photographers’ Paddock section of the Trackside Focus® website.

This space allows photographers to present their work, background, and creative focus in a considered, professional context, offering a central point of reference for audiences, collaborators, and potential clients.

  • Photographers featured as part of The Photographers’ Paddock will recieve regular features and showcases across the Trackside Focus® social media platforms.

There will also be an opportunity for at least one Trackside Focus® Instagram takeover per year, by each member of The Photographers’ Paddock.

  • Members are featured in long-form editorial articles through the new Trackside Focus® digital magazine, launching in 2026. These explore their story, creative approach and recent work. These features provide meaningful visibility and lasting credibility beyond standard social media promotion.

  • Members may be invited to work on commissioned creative briefs designed to encourage experimentation without client pressure.

Selected photographers will also have the opportunity to contribute exclusively to the Trackside Focus® digital magazine. In the longer term, this may open up opportunities for further media-accreditation.

Supporting Our Wider Mission

The Photographers’ Paddock is a key part of the wider Trackside Focus® vision to build a leading ecosystem for amateur and aspiring motorsport photographers. By providing a dedicated platform to showcase work produced during workshops - and select portfolio pieces - The Photographers’ Paddock highlights the practical skills, creativity, and progression of photographers as they develop.

This aligns with our wider mission in three key ways:

Learning in Action – The Photographers’ Paddock reinforces the philosophy that real-world experience under accredited, live motorsport conditions is crucial for professional development.

Community and Recognition – It fosters a supportive environment where photographers’ achievements and ambitions are acknowledged, inspiring continued growth and engagement within the motorsport photography community.

Professional Pathways – The Photographers’ Paddock illustrates the bridge from workshop learning to professional practice, reinforcing the role that Trackside Focus® plays as a gateway for emerging motorsport photographers.

We are ready to provide the attention, care, and expertise you deserve. If you are serious about developing your motorsport photography, the next step is to attend a Trackside Focus® media-accredited workshop.

These workshops provide controlled access to live motorsport events, practical trackside experience and direct guidance on working safely and professionally in the accredited world of motorsport photography. Attendance and completion of at least one of these workshops is required to be eligible for curated features and ongoing opportunities beyond the workshop, including inclusion in The Photographers’ Paddock.

Places are limited and workshops are delivered within professional environments including all workshop participants being granted an official media pass to various race series. Photographers interested in joining the wider Trackside Focus® ecosystem and prioritising their professional development in motorsport photography should book a place on an upcoming workshop to begin the process.
