Why Investing In Personal Development & Learning Matters?
Your brain didn’t come with a lifetime warranty. In today’s world, staying still means falling behind, and personal development is the key to keeping you sharp, adaptable, and ahead of the curve. Investing in learning isn’t just about adding more acronyms to your résumé—it’s about unlocking fresh ideas, building confidence, and turning challenges into opportunities (instead of stress headaches). The sooner you start, the bigger the payoff. And unlike that treadmill in your garage, this is one investment you’ll actually use.
In motorsport, the cars aren’t the only things moving fast - the opportunities are, too. Investing in your photography skills through a dedicated workshop means you’re not just snapping pictures, you’re capturing split-second stories that will help you grow and set you apart from the competition. You’ll learn techniques you can’t get from YouTube tutorials, gain insider tips from pros who have ‘been there, done that’ and build confidence to go from strength to strength in the highly competitive world of motorsport photography.
In short: upgrade yourself, because standing still is the fastest way to get left behind.
Master Motorsport Photography at the British GT Championship
Still happy snapping blurry cars? Then ignore this. Or you could join our British GT photography workshop at the legendary Silverstone circuit and actually learn how to shoot portfolio-worthy, career boosting images.
Be ready to learn all the secrets that’ll make your photos look less “could’ve been taken by a 8 year old” and more “let’s hang that in a gallery.” High-speed racing, VIP Race Day hospitality, and a massive upgrade to your knowledge. The alternatives?
1. Staying at home doing chores?
2. Wandering around the track on your own, confused and lost?
Workshop Cost: £795.00

Stop wasting your race weekends wandering around like a lost tourist with a camera. Our award-winning motorsport photography workshops are designed to whip your shots into shape and teach you to see the circuit like a pro - because “point and pray” isn’t a strategy that’ll get you noticed (well, perhaps only for the wrong reasons!).
You’ll learn exactly where to stand, how to nail those braking and acceleration zones, spot the overtakes before they happen, and find the corners where the light hits just right. Basically, you’ll stop getting lucky shots and start getting killer ones.
Quit guessing, start owning the track, and finally take control of your motorsport photography.
-
Ready to upgrade from “nice try” to “heck yes” in your motorsport photography? This workshop is your golden ticket, featuring personalised coaching from Mark Timms - a motorsport photographer who knows how to make speed look artistic and visually stunning.
You’ll master the basics like composition, framing, and focusing - because blurry, off-centre shots aren’t exactly portfolio material now, are they. With hands-on guidance in a welcoming group, you’ll sharpen that creative eye and build the confidence to shoot motorsport action that actually wows. Fast cars, killer pics, zero excuses.
-
This workshop comes with the ultimate race day VIP pass: full access to the SRO / British GT hospitality. Translation? Comfy seats, unlimited food and drinks (hot, cold, and probably something bubbly), and a cosy escape when the weather decides to throw a tantrum - which at Silverstone is very likely!
You’ll strut your stuff on the British GT grid walk and get up close during the morning pit walk - because who doesn’t want to get the insider access?
Champagne breakfast? Lunch buffet? Afternoon tea? Yes please to it all. Open bar? Absolutely.
Oh, and if rubbing elbows with teams, organisers, and sponsors sounds like your thing, we’ve got you covered. Plus, live timing screens so you can geek out on every lap. Basically, race day just got a serious upgrade.
-
Before you even get to Silverstone, you get an exclusive pre-workshop online session where you can flaunt your portfolio (no pressure) and soak up some priceless tips - because who doesn’t love a little prep?
And when the dust settles a couple of weeks afterwards, stick around for the post-workshop editing session. More feedback, more guidance, and yep - more chances to turn those shots from the workshop into pure portfolio gold with some editing magic.
Motorsport Photography Tuition
Ready to stop taking boring motorsport photos and start snapping shots that actually scream “professional”?
You’ll get hands-on with GT racing, learning how to chase speed without chasing your tail. We’re talking real skills: panning like a boss, mastering motion blur without turning your pics into a hot mess, and nailing silhouette shots that actually look intentional (not accidental). Oh, and you’ll finally figure out how to set your camera so it doesn’t miss the action like your average Sunday snapper.
But wait, there’s more! We don’t just throw you in the deep end - our in-person and online editing sessions will teach you to polish your shots until they sparkle. New to editing? Perfect. That’s why we are here. Bottom line: you’ll leave with a portfolio that makes people ask, “Did you really shoot that?” (Spoiler: yes, you did).
British GT Hospitality
Your workshop comes with the full VIP treatment - yes, that means premium access to the British GT/SRO hospitality all throughout race day. Start your engines (and your day) with a champagne breakfast, because nothing says “I’m serious about photography” like bubbles and a full English.
Fuel up with a buffet lunch that actually tastes good (not to mention that cheese platter), sip from an open bar stocked with both hot and cold drinks and retreat to the comfy hospitality lounge whenever the weather decides to not play ball.
But hey, it’s not all just eating and sipping. This is your golden ticket to rub elbows with teams, organisers, and sponsors - network like a pro while everyone else is just waving from the sidelines.
Your Race Day VIP Hospitality Package includes:
VIP Parking Pass (park like a VIP)
British GT Grid Walk and Pit Walk (get up close and personal)
Champagne Breakfast (because why not?)
Hot Buffet Lunch (more fuel for your camera-finger)
Afternoon Tea (yes, even the posh stuff)
Open Bar (stay refreshed, stay hydrated)

Workshop Leaders
-
Mark Timms has been photographing racing cars for over 20 years. Having been hooked into motor racing as a young child, he then mixed his passion of creative photography that he learned in his teens through browsing DIRT and MOTO magazines, into what he was seeing at racing tracks around the UK, to create the style of imagery he is known for today.
Having worked within the realms of international series such as F1®, WEC, Intercontinental GT, Moto GP, and domestic series such as IMSA, British GT, Mark has garnered a wealth of knowledge with regards to what kind of images can be created at race tracks around the world, that show the event being held upon them in their greatest light.
Winning multiple prestigious awards throughout his career, this has led his work to be published globally and used to promote various brands, drivers and products within the racing world. Ensuring his imagery continues to be dedicated to the emotive story telling notions that he presents, he is dedicated to passing on his knowledge to others in order for them to enjoy their own photographic journeys.
