About The Awards
The Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards™ competition was created in 2024 by Trackside Focus®. It exists to celebrate the skill, passion, and dedication of amateur motorsport photographers, all united by a shared love of racing and the stories it creates. More than a competition, the awards champion creativity, technical excellence and storytelling, while offering amateur photographers visibility, validation, and a sense of belonging within a growing global community.
Each edition of the competition showcases the very best work from a diverse and talented field, highlighting the exceptional standards being achieved by amateur motorsport photographers working across a wide range of motorsport disciplines. The awards celebrate not only engaging imagery, but also the commitment, perseverance and creative vision required to operate in fast-paced, demanding motorsport environments.
Looking ahead to the 2026 competition, the Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards™ enters an exciting new chapter as it expands onto the global stage. For the first time, entries will be welcomed from anywhere in the world, opening the awards to a broader range of perspectives, disciplines, and motorsport cultures. This international expansion reflects both the universal appeal of motorsport and our commitment to recognising amateur photographers worldwide. By embracing a truly global audience, the Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards™ aim to become a definitive showcase of emerging talent and a celebration of motorsport photography in all its forms.
